Default Price in LA is raised ?

spammers in LA are asking for more for general items after this patch (10/11)

like
zealous axe haft [30k]
zealous string [10k], before it is like 1k thingy

3/1 vamp hilt, axe haft [25k], before it is 15k
5/1 string [30k], before it is 15-20k

Whats the reason behind ?
Is people just to rip off during this unstable period after patch ?

yes that is correct

its price gougers like this that make the prices go up permantly. if you are smart just hold your gold for a while. don't put anything into the econemy for a little while. the longer you hold out the more prices will fall.

if you see a price gouger call him out in public or trade channel and alert people. if they fell they would be getting ripped off they won't buy it.

That's going to do absolutely nothing. LA has on average what, a dozen districts at any given time? You start complaining, they simply move to a diff district. You don't like the prices they are asking? Don't buy it. Someone else will.

i can see the prices going up a bit, with farming being slowed down a little, plsu everyone is freaking out thinking they cant farm, but i do hope you never saw a zealous string going for 10k, that is the most obsurd price i have heard on GW, period

there might be tons of districts for lion's arch, but the majority of people only trade in the first 3 districts, and the majority of those in D1

i'd look at the prices to peek by the end of the month. lots of gold sinks where added to the game and i don't see them slowing down buying keys any time soon.

the entire econemy really needs to be reset to get it back on track. erase all gold and set a minimum party size to leave town. then we can increase the drops again.

no more inflation and no more bots and solo farming causing inflation.

It could jsut be a temporary upturn.

But ectos have been steadily climbing.

Black dye was at 8k last night.

I cant remember the last time it went over 7.5.

Its small amounts and too soon to tell for sure, but prices have gone slightly up not down.

That's because of the "I can't make 10k in 5 minutes" overreactive panic.

When people take a deep breath and chill out, things should settle out [hopefully].

people are buying like crazy of fear they won't be able to farm the items in the future. just about after every update there is a period of price increases then 2-3 weeks later they drop back to about normal.

erase all gold, reset prices to base, and create minimum party sizes. there econemy fixed.

erase all gold = no comment as im not sure "exactly" what you mean

Reset prices to base = and fix them there i assume or what?, because if they are not fixed they will just shoot up again, meaning those that bought super absorb at 100 can now sell for 70K+

Create minimun party sizes = Kinda agree, but it really depents on the rest. At the moment drops in partys is just rubbish, its the reason i farm.

I want to be able to have the best equipment, and at the moment getting a super absorb is only achievalble by farming (100k = super absorb).

I just really wish the reasons for farming were nerfed, that would be welcomed with open arms from me.

erase all gold is remove all gold from people accounts we all start over with 0 gold on each character and storage. you keep your assest and items. you can have tons of items but if no one has the gold to buy them then the price would drop like mad.

reset the merchant prices with everyone having 0 gold would start the econemy over. its been inflated too much by farming to change quickly. every time there is an update that affects farming in any way people panic and buy everything. that causes prices to up quickly. since there is so much gold out there from farming in the early days people can afford the price increases. we had prices up to 70k for runes and 40k for dies. silver at one time as at 15k. the market still held up even with prices that high. that should tell you how much gold people really have.

party drops were nerfed b/c of farming. if they make a minimum party size to leave town you can no longer solo preventing farming w/o nerfing any skills or making the AI even dumber.

they have tried to everything to reset the econemy and battle inflation. i think they have taken the wrong route. instead of making more gold sinks (skills, keys, entrance to fow or uw) they should have erased all gold from the beginning.

i don't know if its possible to erase all the gold in circulation but if they said that i have to give up my gold to reset merchants price, have minimum party sizes, reduced price of skills, increased drops for full parties, unnerf some skills i would be the first in line.

take all my gold i don't care give my pro bond back.

i don't know. i don't think there are enough non gold currency to support a no gold econemy. all we have is black dye and ecto. since there would be no gold how could you trade another player for them?

I pretty much agree with all that you've said so far Twicky Kid. Good discussions.

But can you define the term "pro bond"? I heard that before but not sure what that was at on time.

Person A has something Person B needs, and Person B has something Person A needs.

But that's giving the general gaming population too much credit. (Not specifically GW, but all gaming audiences in general.)
